She has a master’s degree in clinical nutrition and is a registered dietitian—both of which contribute to her excellence in patient care. Dr. Morgan has earned many awards, including the Outstanding UAB Female Faculty Award in 2001 and the Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award from Iowa State University in 1999.She has been the medical director of the UAB Osteoporosis Prevention and Treatment Clinic since 1998 and also serves as the associate dean of research compliance in the School of Medicine at UAB. She teaches in the medical school and is also an accomplished researcher.
